Residential Deep Clean Checklist

This service is designed to transform your home into its best condition, whether you need it once or as a precursor to our recurring basic cleaning services.

At Songbird Sanitation, we prioritize transparency in our services. We believe our customers deserve to know exactly what they're paying for, so take a sec to review the detailed checklist used by our cleaners for every Residential Deep Clean.

Residential  Deep Cleans include all of our  Basic Recurring Clean steps PLUS:

Kitchen

  • Clean the inside of the refrigerator and freezer (remove contents & wipe surfaces).

  • Check and dispose of expired food from the refrigerator/freezer.

  • Clean the inside of the oven and oven racks.

  • Clean the dishwasher filter and door seal.

  • Clean the exhaust hood and filters.

  • Clean small appliances.

  • Wipe down the entire exterior of all cabinets.

  • Scrub tile grout on countertops, backsplash, or floors.

  • Polish faucets and other metal fixtures.

  • Wipe down baseboards and door frames.

  • Clean light fixtures (if accessible and safe).

  • Spot clean marks on walls.

  • Clean interior windows and window sills.

  • Wash out trash and recycling bins if dirty.

Bathrooms

  • Scrub tile grout on floors, walls, and in shower/tub.

  • Scrub away built-in soap scum and mildew in shower/tub.

  • Clean shower tracks.

  • Descale and polish faucets and showerheads.

  • Wipe down the exterior of vanity cabinets and drawers.

  • Organize and wipe down the inside of cabinets/drawers (if requested).

  • Wipe down baseboards and door frames.

  • Clean light fixtures and exhaust fan covers.

  • Spot clean marks on walls.

  • Clean interior windows and window sills.

  • Clean or replace shower curtain/liner if needed.

Bedrooms

  • Wipe down baseboards and door frames.

  • Wipe down legs of furniture.

  • Vacuum under and around the bed frame.

  • Carefully dust or wipe down all decorative items.

  • Clean interior windows and window sills.

Living Areas

  • Dust hard-to-reach areas (ceiling fans, high shelves, light fixtures).

  • Dust blinds or shutters.

  • Wipe down baseboards and door frames.

  • Wipe down legs of furniture.

  • Vacuum upholstered furniture (including crevices and under cushions).

  • Carefully dust / wipe down all decorative items.

  • Dust electronic equipment.

  • Clean interior windows and window sills.

  • Move smaller furniture to vacuum/sweep/mop underneath.

  • Spot clean marks on walls.

Hallways / Entryways

  • Dust light fixtures and high ledges/decorative elements.

  • Wipe down baseboards and door frames.

  • Clean the interior side of the front door.

  • Mop hard floors thoroughly after sweeping/vacuuming.

  • Spot clean visible carpet stains.

  • Clean any interior windows in the entryway or hallway.

Laundry Room

  • Clean detergent dispensers in the washing machine.

  • Wipe down the inside of the dryer drum.

  • Clean the lint trap thoroughly and the area around it.

  • Wipe down shelves and cabinets.

  • Thoroughly clean the utility sink (if present).

  • Spot clean marks or spills on walls.

  • Mop the floor thoroughly.

  • Clean any visible vents.
